Join Greater Birmingham NOW as we watch TRAPPED at Das Haus. This film traces the abortion rights saga from Wendy Davis's bold filibuster against Texas's awful abortion restriction law to today--when access to safe abortion for hundreds of thousands of women rests on the Supreme Court's shoulders, all through the eyes of the brave individuals to run and work at abortion clinics. Come learn how and why clinics are shutting down, because if we don't fight back, there may be no clinics left.
The doors to this event will open at 6:30 p.m. and the screening will start at 7. Food and drink will be available for purchase. Das Haus will be serving up a delicious menu as well as homemade margaritas. They also have a bar. The screening is open to all ages, but you will need to be 21+ to purchase alcohol.
There is a suggested donation of $5 at the door (no pressure if you don't have it) and we will be giving away a Keep Abortion Legal button to everyone who attends.
